Te Awa o Tupu (The River of Learning), or 'Te Awa', as it is affectionately known, was opened in 2001.

The name, Te Awa o Tupu, was chosen to acknowledge the stream which runs beneath our library, and the journey of learning our students travel while with us at Karori West Normal School.
